David knew that he had received God's bounteous care all his life. The Shepherd fed David in peaceful green pastures. He refreshed him with cool water from a quiet stream. God provided so well for him that he lacked nothing. Psalm 23:1-2 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
