Everyone has personality flaws, bad habits, and unpleasant mannerisms. The person who gets to know this and irritated by them is the one closest to you or living with you. Intimate relationships tend to reveal these personality flaws and mannerisms thereby causing irritations, annoyance and frustration. Personality flaws, mannerisms, and bad habits can lead to nitpicking. Nitpicking, therefore, the tendency to make often bad-tempered criticisms or objections about matters that are minor, unimportant, or irrelevant.
