Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)is prevalent in every culture and is caused by situations such as community‐level influences including high unemployment, low average income, community social norms, beliefs that condone violence or discourage intervening, patriarchal norms, and human and economic development. This presentation looks at the destructive effects of IPV in couple relationships, and provide insight on how to prevent in from happening.
