Contempt, one of the the four marriage destructive behaviors that John Gottman concluded as marriage killers. It comprises both behaving and communicating in ways that express hostility, argumentativeness and disgust through attacking a partner’s self-concept, and intending to cause insult and/or psychological abuse.
In this presentation, I show how dangerous and destructive it is to show contempt towards one's spouse and then provide ways to deal with such behavior.
