Time appears to have a direction – the past lies behind, fixed and immutable, while the future lies ahead and is not necessarily fixed. The good thing is that with God’s help, you can do something about the future.
Ps 39:4 - "LORD, let me know my end, and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. NRSV
Romans 13:11, 12 says, "The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness & put on the armor of light."
