Satan uses life circumstances such as oppression, sickness, death, loss, change, suffering, job loss, and financial difficulties to cause God's people to think that God does not care. But He cares for His own.
"Then the LORD said, "I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings" Ex 3:7
